What to expect from my classes

Pregnancy yoga is a great way to stay healthy and active during your pregnancy. It can help you to relax and prepare for labour, and it can also help you to recover after giving birth. Pregnancy yoga can improve your posture, reduce stress and anxiety, and help to prevent back pain.

The classes are small, limited to 8 people, providing an intimate space for you and a mutually supportive group.  Every class finishes with a lovely relaxation session.

Pricing

The cost for the classes will be £63.00 per six-week block, guaranteeing your place and allowing one make-up session per block.  Alternatively, a 12-week block will be £120.00, saving you £6.00.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I do pregnancy yoga if I have never done yoga before?
Yes! Yoga benefits the body and mind at any time in life.  Many women come to yoga for the first time during their pregnancy because they have heard it will improve how they feel and help prepare them for labour and birth. Pregnancy yoga honours the needs and limitations of the pregnant body and all postures can be modified to suit the level of experience you bring to the practice.

When should I start pregnancy yoga?
You can start prenatal yoga at any time during the pregnancy.  The sooner you start, the more beneficial in preparing your body and mind for labour and birth.  However, if you are experiencing nausea or fatigue and especially if the practice of yoga is new to you, you may prefer to wait to start until after the first trimester.  You can continue your yoga practice right up to when your baby is due unless your care provider has advised you otherwise.

How do I book and pay for class?
Please ensure you book online before coming to class, once you have booked a class successfully you will receive an email notification to confirm your booking.

What if I miss a class?
Classes are booked in 6-week blocks, if you are unable to make a class then please let me know as soon as possible.  You are able to make up a maximum of one session per block, this will be added onto the end of the block.

What should I bring to the class?
All you need to bring to class is a blanket, cushion and your water bottle. Make sure you wear comfortable, stretchy clothing.  You are welcome to either have bare feet in the class or wear grippy socks.  Should you need to, you can bring any light snacks with you to have during class.

How big are the classes?
Classes will be a maximum of 8 participants.

When should I get there for a class?
Aim to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class time to get settled so we can start on time.

Do you offer drop-in classes?
Unfortunately, drop-in classes aren’t available.  Instead, students enroll in six-week blocks to ensure continuity, offering the chance to be part of a mutually supportive group.

Is there parking available?
There is street parking outside the venue, or a car park close by.  Please let me know if you need any further details on this.
